1983年11月7日05时,山东省菏泽发生5.9级地震。这是自1937年菏泽7.0级地震后,在震中附近再次发生的一次中等强度地震。地震前、后,在震中附近出现了一些地下水异常现象,由于这次地震是发生在降雨少和不抽水灌溉的初冬季节。地下水动态比较稳定。此外,该处地势平坦,含水层结构相似(均以粉砂、细粉砂为主的局部承压水),水位埋深都为4—5米,水文地质条件比较单一,因此提供了深入分析对比的条件,这次地震所反映的地下水异常比较丰富、可信,其特征分述如下。
