李子垭北井是严重的煤与瓦斯突出矿井,该矿共发生过76次突出,依据实际瓦斯地质资料,运用瓦斯地质理论和构造演化理论,研究了区域、矿区和井田构造控制特征,对突出资料进行统计分析,总结出了李子垭北井煤与瓦斯突出的特征,并分析了褶皱、断层、顶底板岩性和构造煤等地质因素对煤与瓦斯突出的影响与控制,认为褶皱构造对煤与瓦斯突出有重要影响,而断层构造和构造煤控制着突出的发生和分布规律,为主控因素,为有的放矢地防治煤与瓦斯突出提供了方向。
