Are you successful？ What is the most attractive thing in your life？ Then， do you think your life is colorful and interesting？ Many people may wonder at my questions and don??t realize my real intention. The most important thing that I am concerned about in our daily life is dream. Although lots of people often refer to this word and always educate their children or students with it， not all people really understand the inner meaning of it and spare their efforts to carry out.
To be frank， everyone including you and me has a lot of dreams. Some people want to be rich， to have endless money and then spend lavishly. In their opinions， money can tackle everything and mean everything. Others want to be famous， dreaming of suddenly jumping to great fame. Certainly， some people are indulged in power which means one can dominate others?? lives to some extent. Dreams are a communication of body， mind and spirit in a symbolic communicative environmental state of being. That??s it！ American writer Mark Twain once said： “Don??t part with your illusions. When they are gone you may still exist， but you have ceased to live.” Dream is the essence of life. Undoubtedly， every individual， especially a young person， should have a dream， or an ideal. Hardly can we find any great people we know without an ideal when they were young.
In my opinion， so?called “Ideal” is set by the person that people would like to achieve in the pursuit of their goals in life and longing for the prospects of the struggle. There is a present tense， and the ideal is a future tense which means the goal of life and a future imagined possible. In other words， a dream to a man is just as what wings are to a bird. When you have a dream in your heart， you will be spontaneously driven to hitch your wagon to a star. So， it is evident that dream makes a man. A dream is an inexhaustible source of energy that keeps our enthusiasm burning， and ignite the passion to enhance our spiritual cultivation， refine our character， and upgrade our quality of life. We can??t imagine one day when people never have dream again. A man without a dream is just as a bird without strong wings， confined to a cage and knows nothing about the outside world. Undoubtedly， a man with a dream is like a warrior armed with ambition， and then he will dare to step into an unknown domain to achieve his goal. It is dream that adds fullness， variety to our life and makes it worth living.
Now， I want to talk about my dream. Since my childhood， I am not an ambitious person， but I have different dreams all the time. I am convinced that if I set the ideal， the only thing that I needs to do is pay attention to it and come to success at the cost of everything. Most of us live our life unconsciously. The daily routine work keeps our mind busy， so our life is often occupied by some unexpected dull things. People always neglect the purpose in life. We all know the famous speech by Martin Luther King. He said， “Even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow， I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.” I have a dream of my own. It is a dream that is deeply rooted in my heart. I dream that one day people of all origins can live in harmony and peace without being discriminated against each other. The bounty of the earth can be shared by every single human being. Mutual respect will guarantee the existence of the diversity of customs and cultures. Love， sympathy， and cooperation will alleviate the sufferings and disasters inflicted upon our fellow men. Respect for basic human rights will put an end to social injustices and evils. When my dream comes true， I believe that then we all treat other people as our own relative or friend， the world will be better and all men will be truly equal， happy. When I have my dream， I will have the courage to meet failure without being defeated， any factor can??t interfere with my long?range goal； I will accept the challenge of the difficulty. I will keep Phillips Brooks??s words in my mind： “Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers. Pray for powers equal to your tasks. Then the doing of your work shall be no miracle， but you shall be the miracle.” In order to achieve this goal， I think a great deal of things should be taken into my account. Firstly， half of the people who have embarked on a one hundred mile journey may fall by the way side. When I was a junior school student， my teacher once told me， “You??ve got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams， you will die. We have so many people walking around who are dead and don??t even know it.” Therefore， I will stick to my dream and never give up. Secondly， I must study hard now. Study is the most efficient way to increase knowledge and improve ability. There are two kinds of animals who can surmount the pyramid， one is eagle， and another is snail. However， I will continue to be indulged in my dream even forget my meals and time.
