行业英语教学有别于基础英语教学,其目的是培养学生对英语技能和专业知识的综合运用能力,因而对学生的自主规划、监控、评价能力即元认知能力提出要求。本文尝试论述高职学生在行业英语学习中的元认知能力培养的重要作用以及培养策略。通过元认知能力的培养,逐步培养学生自主学习的意识,并提高其自主学习的能力,从而使他们获取终身学习的能力,成为应用能力强、实践能力强和创新能力强的高素质“实用型”人才。
Different from basic English teaching, the purpose of industrial English teaching is to cultivate students’ comprehensive ability to use English skills and professional knowledge. Therefore, the requirement of autonomous planning, monitoring and evaluation of students, that is, metacognitive ability, is required. This article attempts to discuss the important role of nurturing metacognitive ability of vocational students in industrial English study and to develop their strategies.
