一、山塘养鱼的战略地位我县地处湘中丘陵,山塘养鱼是我县发展渔业生产的主攻方向,全县山塘可养鱼水面达50380亩,占可养鱼总水面的79.1％,在邵阳市九县一郊中居于首位。山塘鱼产量占全县水产品总产量的95％左右,1986年山塘平均亩产仅173.8公斤。鱼产量较高的余田桥区,11018亩山塘水面,1986年亩平产鱼也只有230.9公斤,廉桥、牛马司区7040亩山塘水面,亩平仅97公斤,可见增产潜力很大。山塘还具有投资小,见效快的特点,适合农户个体经营养殖,责任制容易落实,有利于调动农民
