1972年2月,我省部分地区柑桔遭受了一次历史上罕见的大冻害,最低气温-8.9°至～14℃,持续8至10天,柑桔生产损失极大。为分析原因,总结经验,选育柑桔抗寒品种,我们先后到黔阳、辰溪、溆浦、邵阳、衡山、衡东、攸县等地调查,有的是走马观花,有的是与当地果农、技术干部一道开会座淡,实地观察,并与安仁、华容、常德等地进行通讯了解,对这次冻害情况进行了初步分析总结。
