Editors are often acclaimed as “unknown heroes of marrying people,” “midwives of good works,” “bole of goodwill,” and so forth. This not only reflects the society’s emphasis on editorial work and respect for editors, but also shows the society’s recognition of editorial social functions and the editors’ expectations and demands. However, with the increasing competition, the publishing industry has witnessed many ethical problems in recent years, such as plagiarism, malicious speculation and vicious competition, threatening the overall survival and development of the industry. An industry without a moral bottom line is doomed to long-term prosperity. Therefore, to explore the ethical realm of editors is of great significance at present.
