Objective: To evaluate the clinical value and prognosis of lower extremity vascular intervention in the treatment of diabetic foot. Methods: 56 cases of type 2 diabetes with diabetic foot and surgical indications of amputation were divided into two groups. The observation group (21 cases) was given lower extremity arterial angioplasty + drug treatment + local dressing; the control group (35 cases) was given drug treatment + local dressing. The clinical symptoms, the arterial diameter of lower extremity, the healing of foot ulcer, the healing time of ulcer, the days of hospitalization, and amputation rate were observed and evaluated on the 5th, 30th, 60th and 90th days respectively. Results: The clinical symptoms, lower extremity arterial diameter, ulcer healing, ulcer healing, length of hospital stay and amputation rate in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion: The treatment of lower extremity vascular intervention in patients with diabetic foot is satisfactory, which can reduce the morbidity of patients.
