湖北农业科技人员利用两系法进行水稻杂交试验,已先后育成一大批籼型和粳型的光温敏不育系,并利用这些优良的不育系进行了一定的组合。多数组合在制种技术上已达到了三系杂交水稻的水平。与目前正在全国大面积推广的同生育期杂交水稻新品种比较,这种新型杂交水稻除在抗病性、抗虫害性及其他有关方面有明显优势外,每亩单产可净增50~70公斤,增长约10%。
