The high confidence of the people in newspapers and the aging of Japanese society have, to some extent, continued the newspaper’s still decent position. Recently, Japan’s oldest publishing house founded in 1913 - Iwanami Bookstore announced that its internal magazine “Science” will be discontinued in November this year. The academic journal, founded in 1931, still did not escape the catastrophe in the paper-based world.
