这一期学报专集（１９５８年毕业生专号）是半年来我校执行党的“教育为无产阶级的政治服务，教育与生产劳动给合”的教育工作方针的产物。迭一方针虽然在学校执行不久；然而已经取得了很大成绩。本校校长蒋南翔最近在“红旗”杂志上发表的题力“党的教育方针促进了高等学校的革命”一文总结了学校在这一段时间的工作，特将它转载于此（转载时经作者作了个别文字上的修改），作为本专集的代序。这些谕文都是本校本年度毕业学生在进行毕业设计时根据工作需要而进行的科学研究结果；当然，我们还并不满足于这一水平，而且我们相信在党的教育工作方针的指导下，还会迅速地把我校的教育工作，提高到更高的水平。清华大学学报１９５８年毕业生专号共分三册，包括综合二册，水利工程一册；由于付印时间仓促。错误在所难免，希能指正。
