This article discusses the accuracy of the gravity distribution process distribution curve, which is strongly influenced by both the separation accuracy of the density analysis system and the chosen density interval width. This problem is serious when the density analysis of sorted products can not use heavy fluids and has to use resuspension or other systems (such as magnetic separation). The incomplete separation of these systems and the density interval used can only give an apparent distribution curve for the sorting process, rather than the actual distribution curve. In this paper, the simulation program was used to study the relationship between the apparent distribution curve and the actual distribution curve under different conditions. Once the apparent distribution curve and the density interception accuracy are obtained, different characteristic curves can be obtained for different input data so as to calculate the actual distribution curve and the corresponding parameters.
