阅读是读者与文本互动的过程。文本的特征会影响读者对其的理解。从句法层面来看,不同句法难度的文本是否会对阅读理解产生影响呢?本研究首先对句法难度进行分类,然后进行实验研究。实验以英语专业大三学生为对象,52名受试被随机地分成两组。使用的材料是两套阅读试题。这两套试题中短文的内容相同,其中一套句法复杂,另一套句法简单。一组被试接受句法复杂的试题,另一组被试接受句法简单的试题。通过对实验数据进行有关的统计分析,我们发现,句法难度对中国EFL学生的阅读理解产生显著影响。
Reading is the process of interaction between reader and text. The characteristics of the text affect the reader’s understanding of it. From the syntactic level, whether the texts with different syntactical difficulties will affect reading comprehension? Firstly, we classify the syntactic difficulty and then carry out experimental research. The experiment was conducted on English majors, and 52 subjects were randomly divided into two groups. The materials used are two sets of reading questions. The contents of the essays in these two sets of questions are the same, with one set of syntax complicated and the other set of simple syntax. A group of subjects to accept complex syntax questions, another group of subjects to accept simple syntax questions. Through the statistical analysis of the experimental data, we find that the difficulty of syntax has a significant impact on EFL students’ reading comprehension in China.
