In 1982, China’s first national forest park was born in a 48-square-kilometer land in Zhangjiajie City, northwestern Hunan Province. Its predecessor was the state-owned Zhangjiajie Forest Farm established in 1958. As the forerunner and benchmark of National Forest Park, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is not only the experience of China’s national forest park from forest management to the development of forest tourism, but also the growing testimony of China’s national forest park. The most peculiar landscape here is dense, contiguous, green-covered quartz sandstone peaks. Thousands of rock competing show, Wan Shi Zhengrong, staggered valley, vertical and horizontal streams of quartz sandstone landscape, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is a unique logo, rare in the world.
