第十八届国际杨树会议在京举行

第十八届国际杨树会议于1988年9月5日至8日在北京科学会堂召开,来自中国、南朝鲜、意大利、法国、美国、加拿大、西班牙、比利时、阿根廷、赞比亚、新西兰等代表着世界杨树发展的19个国家和地区的150名代表出席了会议。其中中国代表58名,向大会提交学术论文70多篇,比较全面地反映了中国在杨树各个领域里的学术水平。林业部、中国科协、中国林学会、中国林科院、北京林业大学、北京市林业局等有关单位的领导同志出席了开幕式。林业部副部长徐有芳向大会致欢迎词,并预祝大会取得成功。国际杨树委员会主席维亚赫先生做了题为“杨树栽培向2000年迈进”的主题报告, The 18th International Poplar Conference was held at the Beijing Science Hall from September 5 to 8, 1988 with representatives from China, South Korea, Italy, France, the United States, Canada, Spain, Belgium, Argentina, Zambia and New Zealand 150 representatives from 19 countries and regions popularized in the world attended the conference. Among them, 58 were from China, submitted over 70 academic papers to the General Assembly, and more fully reflected the academic standards of China in various fields of poplar. Leaders from relevant departments such as the Ministry of Forestry, China Association for Science and Technology, Chinese Society of Forestry, Chinese Academy of Forestry, Beijing Forestry University and Beijing Forestry Bureau attended the opening ceremony. Xu Youfang, vice minister of forestry, addressed the meeting and wished the conference a success. Mr. Vyach, chairman of the International Poplar Commission, gave a keynote speech entitled “Poplar Cultivation Towards 2000”
