In both Chinese and English, with the use of two phrases, there are many “colorful” and colorful Chinese languages. However, many foreigners who have been to China will point out that Chinese and Western customs are very different, including the differences in color symbols. For example, Westerners are making funerals and Chinese people are a vegetarian. On the contrary, Westerners’ happy events are white. Western-style weddings, bridal gowns, from veil to long skirts behind, all white. Westerners advocating white, take it as a symbol of purity, such as “lilies in the field”, white also contains religious significance. The Chinese people are full of festive scenes are red, green, or golden; while Westerners have ambiguous feelings about red, bright red may represent evil, my sins are scarlet, admit that their sins are blood red: a scarlet woman (Scarlet woman) refers to women who are slavish and erotic; and red-light district (red light district) is a designated area where public funds operate.
