作为现代主义诗歌运动的旗手,艾略特以其作品风格的晦涩和前后期身份的转变而给后人留下了扑朔迷离的感觉。如果以存在主义哲学家克尔恺郭尔的思想为参照,艾略特的诗歌创作历程将呈现出近乎必然的内在联系。从诗歌与哲思互证的角度,艾略特诗歌创作从《情歌》、《荒原》到《四个四重奏》这三个阶段,分别对应克尔恺郭尔所揭示的感性、伦理和宗教的人生三阶段。在这种人生和诗歌发展的内在线索的观照下,我们可以更好地理解艾略特诗歌的内涵,以及人生三阶段论的普遍意义。
As the standard-bearer of the modernist poetry movement, Eliot left confused feelings to his descendants with the obscure and pre-late status changes of his works. If we take the idea of the existentialist philosopher Kierkegaard as the reference, Eliot’s poetry writing process will show an almost inevitable internal connection. From the perspective of the mutual evidence of poetry and philosophy, Eliot’s poetry compiles three stages from “love song”, “wasteland” to “four quartets”, respectively corresponding to the sensibility, ethics and religion revealed by Kierkegaard Three stages of life. In the light of the internal clues to the development of life and poetry, we can better understand the connotation of Eliot’s poetry and the universal significance of the three-stage theory of life.
