In the first year of the Northern Zhou Dynasty (579 years), the tomb of Shijun was located in the east of Inoue Village in Weiyang District of Xi’an. It was 2.5km away from the Angkorian Grave discovered in the northern Zhou Dynasty in 2000. From June to October 2003, the stone burial mound (“Shi Tang”) (self-named) with the inscription Sogdian and Chinese was excavated and cleaned up by Xi’an Institute of Cultural Relics and Archeology. The images are rich in content and relate to topics related to Chinese teaching and cultural exchanges. The tomb also unearthed a gold ring, gold earrings and gold coins. The history of the tomb of Shijun is an important discovery of archeology in the North Dynasty, which is of great value to the study of the history of Chinese and Western traffic and the history of Chinese art.
