With today’s advanced video technology, movies and motion pictures have become the staple foods in people’s visual culture. These static art forms, such as photography and painting, seem to have become a product of a certain stage in the development of the image. In mass culture it has lost its past value. In fact, people need a relatively static state of the object to perceive the phenomenon and understand its quality. Because of the loss of the front-to-back relationship between space and time, still images can be given multiple meanings and can better reflect the summoning structure of literary and artistic works. Still image images best embody the “subtraction” principle of artistic creation. So static images still have an important value for their existence.
