Objective To study the changes of plasma T helper 1 (Th1) and Th2 cytokines in patients with early syphilis and to analyze the role of Th1 / Th2 chemokines in early syphilis immune response and pathogenesis. Methods Peripheral heparin anticoagulants were collected from 56 patients with early syphilis (22 first-stage syphilis and 34 second-stage syphilis) and 20 healthy subjects. Thrombin-induced mononuclear factor (IFN-γ) MIG), gamma interferon-inducible protein 10 (IP-10), interferon-induced T-cell alpha chemotactic protein (I-TAC) and Th2 chemokine thymus and activated regulatory chemokine (TARC) The levels of chemotactic factors (MDC), such as IFN-γ, IL-4, TNF-α and C-reactive protein in plasma, Content. Results The plasma levels of MIG, IP-10, TRAC and MDC in patients with primary syphilis and secondary syphilis were significantly higher than those in control group. The plasma I-TAC levels in patients with secondary syphilis were significantly higher than those in healthy controls. In particular, the levels of Th1 cytokines MIG, IP-10 and I-TAC in patients with second-stage syphilis were significantly higher than those of first-stage syphilis, while the levels of plasma chemokines MDC and TARC in patients with stage I and stage II syphilis Significant differences. Correlation analysis showed that there was a significant positive correlation between plasma IP-10 and MIG, I-TAC, IFN-γ and TNF-α in patients with early syphilis. Moreover, there was a significant positive correlation between plasma MIG, IP-10 and CRP levels in patients with early syphilis. Conclusion Th1 cytokines and Th2 cytokines are involved in early syphilis immune response.
