Since the 1980s, the reform and opening up brought a bright future to the development of Chinese painting. The influx of a variety of Western cultural currents has created the standpoint of confrontation and collision between the two cultures and has drawn wide attention from the society. As an image of Chinese traditional culture, Chinese painting has become a hot spot in the field of art. Painters subvert the old map subjectively, practice reform has become the mainstream of Chinese painting during this period. Its origin is firstly that everyone dissatisfied with the status quo of Chinese painting since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, whose significance has a direct impact on the realistic creation and the development of Chinese painting.
