1996年9月1～6日由国际基础与应用化学联合会(IUPAC)主办、韩国化学会承办的第9届适应世界需要的化学研究大会(CHEMRAWN IX)在韩国汉城召开。会议主题是可持续发展中先进材料的地位和应用。来自19个国家的321名代表出席了会议。提交论文129篇。会议主要讨论了如何实现在材料的生产、使用、废弃和再循环利用等过程中实现可持续发展的问题。围绕材料的可持续发展这一主题,会议按照能源、通讯、建筑、运输等几个领域的材料发展展开了讨论。同时,还举行了两次大会专题讨论,议题是“可持续发展需要什么样的新材料”
Organized by the International Union of Basic and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) from September 1 to September 6, 1996, CHEMRWN IX, hosted by the Korea Chemical Society, was held in Seoul, Korea. The theme of the conference is the status and application of advanced materials in sustainable development. 321 delegates from 19 countries attended the meeting. 129 papers submitted. The conference mainly discussed how to realize the sustainable development in the process of material production, use, discard and recycle. Around the theme of sustainable material development, the conference discussed the development of materials in several fields such as energy, telecommunications, construction and transportation. At the same time, two general symposiums were held on the topic of “What kind of new materials are needed for sustainable development”
