Objective To observe the changes of serum enzyme content (or activity), calcium and phosphorus concentration, TNFα, IL-2 and IL-12 (P70) levels of seafarers 18 hours after sea-going in the tropical storm. Methods Seventy-one sea-water-immersed crew members were tested on the first day and the eighth day after admission by the seafarer, urine and peripheral blood samples, and another 34 healthy subjects were taken as the control test Said control group). Serum CuZn-SOD, TNFα and IL-2 levels were measured by RIA method; CK, CK-MB, LDH and α-HBDH activity was measured by COBASFARA Ⅱ automatic biochemical analyzer; serum and urine calcium and phosphorus concentrations were also used The aforementioned analyzer; serum IL-12 (P70) content detection by ELISA; routine counting of peripheral white blood cells. Results On the first day and the eighth day after admission, the serum CuZn-SOD content and the concentration of calcium and phosphorus in the crew group were significantly lower than those in the control group. The concentrations of calcium and phosphorus in urine were similar to those of the serum in the crew group. Serum CK, CK-MB and α-HB-DH activity of the crew members were significantly higher than those of the control group on the first day of admission, and the value of the eighth day was similar to that of the control group. There was no significant difference in LDH activity between the two groups on the first day (P <0.05). The content of TNF-αin the 8th day was significantly higher than that in the control group, while the content of IL-2 in the crew was significantly lower than that in the control group. On the first day, the number of white blood cells was significantly higher than that of the control group, while the eighth day was similar to the control group. Conclusion Under tropical storm conditions by the sea?
