从今年起焦炭供应的数量减少了。我厂鍛工車間为了适应这个情况,把原有几座燒焦炭的地爐改成用煤作燃料的反射爐。其中有一座反射爐的构造如附图所示,底层带預热室,爐床面积为0.76平方公尺。这个爐子加热出来的鍛件可以供給一台400公斤空气錘和一台300公斤夹板錘使用还有余。据我們实际使用結果来看,这个爐的加热室的爐膛温度可以达到1300℃左右;預热室的爐膛温度在900～1000℃之间,鋼料在加热室加热的最高温度能够达1250℃;在预热室加热的最高溫度为900℃。
