Objective To study the effect of applying antibacterial Vicat suture in cesarean section to reduce incision infection and puerperal infection. Method 5 267 cases of cesarean section were randomly divided into antibacterial Vicat suture group (observation group) and Vicat suture group (control group), compared the incision infection and the incidence of puerperal infection. Results The average age of observation group and control group were 29 ± 7 years and 30 ± 4 years old respectively. The premature rupture of membranes was 8.00% and 7.95% respectively. The rates of diabetes mellitus were 6.97% and 7.04%, hypertension were 10.04% and 10.00% , And intrahepatic cholestasis were 1.06% and 1.03% respectively, with no significant difference (P> 0.05). The incision infection rates in postoperative observation group and control group were 0.15% and 1.79%, respectively, and the rates of puerperal infection were 0.72% and 6.89% respectively. There were significant differences in incision infection rate and puerperal infection rate between the two groups (P0.05 ). Conclusion The use of antibacterial Vicat suture in cesarean section can significantly reduce the incision infection rate and puerperal infection rate.
