Most migrant workers in our country are mostly young people, and have urgent needs for housing. In recent years, some local governments gradually include the city’s migrant population in the housing security system. This study takes the low-rent housing Z community of urban migrant workers in S Town as an example. By using the social dialectics, this paper analyzes the life face of youth workers in affordable housing communities and then discusses the social logic behind them. The study found that low-cost housing communities for migrant workers are located at remote locations, mainly serving as supporting facilities in urban industrial parks; migrant workers in the community are in the contradiction of “policy absorption and space exclusion” It helps migrant workers build a stable life in exclusionary space. At the same time, the unavailability of external facilities and the self-sufficiency within the community reinforce each other to form a closed social space. Migrant workers living in low-rent housing communities are actually based on the risk of social segregation and class solidification. The migrant workers’ right to live is only an attachment to temporary employment.
