日本新华侨女作家陈永和以“女扮男装”的“我”叙述历史,通过“身体”书写特殊时期底层人物的命运,审视身体与身份、权力、性的重重纠葛,特别是揭示了从性虐到享虐的女性悲剧。不同于往常灵魂深处闹革命的《一九七九年纪事》,以身体性忏悔的冷静,对当今社会具有现代性意义的问题进行深入探讨。可以说这是日本华文文学对中国文学所奉献的一点“收获”。
