Due to the characteristics of offshore oilfields, development methods, completion methods and the particularity of production strings, some oil wells appear to have high water content within a short period of time after they are put into operation. However, conventional production logging can only give the overall results of a certain sand control section Output and water conditions, there is no reason to determine the water and the problem of the water layer. From 2008 to 2010, in order to solve this problem and also to expand the application range of oxygen activated logging, oxygen activated water logging was conducted in high-water-producing wells in the Bohai Sea to determine the cause of water outflow and the attempt of outlet layer. One-step plugging operations provide the basis. Based on the measured data of the two wells, this paper analyzes and discusses the application effect of the oxygen activated logging technique to find water in high water cut oil wells.
