It has been many years since helical springs have been used to move orthodontic teeth and there have been many studies on the most appropriate forces needed to move a particular tooth. However, there are few experimental studies on the coercive force of coil springs in the mouth. The general introduction of the use of helical springs is the direct elongation of the original length of the helical spring 1/3 ~ 1/2, but did not talk about the size of the force generated. The purpose of this paper is to determine the size of the force generated by the coil spring, to help clinicians choose the right move teeth. Some papers talk about the force needed to move a particular tooth, and Storey et al. Report that 150 to 200 grams of force are pulled
