In our hospital from June 1996 to April 1998, 19 cases of insular glioma were removed by pterional approach. The results were good. The report is as follows. The data includes 12 males and 7 females, aged 17 to 62 years, mean 47 to 2 years, 12 temporal lobe epilepsy, headache, vomiting, and disturbance of consciousness in 7 cases, visual impairment, and visual field defect in 7 cases. 5 cases of sensory disorders, language barriers...
