Since Japan’s nuclear leak, many readers are worried about the impact of nuclear radiation. Recently, the current people are concerned about the amount of nuclear radiation, radioactive material, radiation protection and other issues, the reporter interviewed a VIP VIP health lecture hall guest of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences doctoral tutor, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Field Verification Division Radiation Safety Professor Zhou Pingkun, member of the Protection Expert Group. Nuclear radiation is such a pathogenic northeast window: Professor Zhou, what kind of radiation can affect us? Zhou Pingkun: Mention “radiation” is a word, many people are strange and familiar. Historically, such as we have heard of x-ray, why is it called x-ray? Is invisible, touching things. But now science and technology can be detected by instruments. Specifically, although radiation itself is an abstract thing, it also has a material basis. For example, nuclear radiation, the material basis of which is a radioactive nuclide, which emits harmful rays on the human body or ions, can damage the human genetic material, such as DNA molecules. In addition, there are such as electromagnetic waves, cell phone radiation in this category.
