1 Introduction The reduction of the thermal capacity of molten steel in the tank, which reflects the reduction of molten steel temperature. The main reason for the decrease of temperature is the influence of heat loss, the most important of which is the heat loss of the steel liner. Determine the heat loss through the liner must be determined by the molten steel on the tank liner heat exchange. The heat loss of the liner depends on the temperature of the liner before tapping and the heat transfer of the molten steel to the liner. The thermal condition of the liner during tapping is determined by the following factors: the drying and preheating of the tank, the casting process and the cooling after the casting is completed. All of these processes contribute to the non-uniform temperature field of the liner, so that the heat transfer between the liner and the liner is not uniform. The only effective solution to this problem is to have a good grasp of the hot and cold water regime from tapping to completion (including furnace refining). The temperature of the molten steel during casting depends on the temperature field of the molten steel in the tank.
