The move broadened the range of Slovak applications, unite nationalist forces and promoted the construction of national identity; at the same time, it also intensified domestic ethnic conflicts and undermined the country’s international image. The above developments have not only promoted the domestic situation and the supervision of international organizations, but also resulted from the active choice made by Slovak political elites.
