双悬臂桁架拱桥在我省农水配套工程中开始推广,它的主要优点是:1.利用双悬臂代替工程量大、造价高的桥台。据大丰县统计,比轻桥台节省工程量40%,比桁架拱重力扶垛式桥台节省工程量70%,比双曲拱扶垛式桥台节省80%。2.减小中跨推力。比同跨度桁架拱桥减小推力35~60%,可基本解决软土地基上拱桥推力大,拱脚、拱顶易开裂的缺点。3.缩短了桁架拱中间跨度,并采用稍大矢跨比,既利于通航,又节省了工程量。据统计与同宽度渠道上的桁架拱桥比较,可节省工程量21~40%。4.实现全装配施工。双悬臂桁架拱桥可全部预制,只需设置四个台基即可装配而成,既加快了施工进度,又保证了施工质量。5.对规划疏浚加宽或未定型的河道,便于拆装扩建。结构上,双悬臂桁架拱端为简支,中跨部分可以是三铰、二铰、无铰,在外部为多次超
