Galectin-3是半乳糖凝集素家族中的一员,广泛分布于不同的细胞和组织中。Galectin-3能通过与细胞内、外的不同蛋白间特殊的结合参与细胞黏附、增殖、免疫调节、凋亡和肿瘤的发生、发展等一系列生理、病理过程。而在生殖领域的研究中发现Galectin-3在着床窗口期高表达,以及在此期间激素通过调节Galectin-3及其配体的表达来建立和维持成功的妊娠;另一方面Galectin-3又可调节子宫内膜细胞的增殖和黏附,从而影响胚胎着床的成功。
Galectin-3 is a member of the galectin family, widely distributed in different cells and tissues. Galectin-3 can participate in a series of physiological and pathological processes such as cell adhesion, proliferation, immune regulation, apoptosis and the occurrence and development of tumor through special binding with different proteins inside and outside the cell. In the field of reproductive research, Galectin-3 was found to be highly expressed during the implantation window, and during this period hormones established and maintained a successful pregnancy by regulating the expression of Galectin-3 and its ligand. On the other hand, Galectin-3 Can regulate the proliferation and adhesion of endometrial cells, thus affecting the success of embryo implantation.
