In the Ming and Qing dynasties paintings handed down from the past, we often read the words “imitating a certain”. These works are generally imitated “scholarly paintings of the Southern Sect” such as Dong Qichang’s “supernatural” (Figure 1) , Shen Zhou’s “Imitation Oliver Landscape” (Figure 2), Wen Zhengming’s “Imitation Mie Yunshan Figure” (Figure 3,4), Chen Chun’s “Mimi Miyun Figure” (Figure 5) and so on. On the occasion of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the literati’s portrait became the trend of the antique, often “imitation of the big idiot,” imitation “Ni 瓒 ”.
