Objective To investigate the management status of death report cards and explore ways to enhance their monitoring effectiveness and early warning capabilities. Methods A total of 14 comprehensive hospitals were surveyed using letter access methods. As a result, 85.7% of hospitals required that the death reporting card be reported to the hospital on the same day as the death of the patient. This objectively caused the death report card to be earlier than the recovery time of the patient. If the death report card does not fully meet the coding requirements, it may There is a phenomenon of inaccurate coding that leads to information errors of deaths, thereby losing or reducing the monitoring effect and early warning ability of death statistics. Conclusion Within the allowable range of the superior department, the hospital postponed the reporting time of the death report card and required the report card to be recovered together with the medical record. This is the best way to solve the problem; the second is to add content on the death report card to fully satisfy The need for coding.
