Alcoa plans to invest $ 22 million to build engine components for its titanium, nickel and 3D printed aircraft at its plant in Whitehall. The company is investing in the development of the hot isostatic pressing (HIP) technology and will be able to capitalize on the high productivity of its investment in aviation construction while capitalizing on the company’s ability to handle the largest aircraft engine components internally.
