I. INTRODUCTION VACUUM SEALING is a new casting method for obtaining castings in dry, loose, common cast silica sand molds without water and binder. Sand filled with loose sand is sealed with a plastic film and the air is clasped. The sand is sucked into a vacuum to tighten the sand and is strong enough to withstand the liquid metal.
