对儿童的艺术教育能反映一个国家的文化价值取向。1930年代罗斯福新政期间,资助儿童艺术教育就是公共艺术项目的组成部分,很多艺术家受聘进入社区指导儿童画画,并间接提高公众对艺术的兴趣。本文探究了以艺术教育培养儿童的创造性的途径和方法,分析了儿童艺术教育作为一项公共事业的主要着眼点,其与新公民的道德教育的关系,本文指出了儿童艺术教育是在全社会范围内展开的持久性艺术教育运动,因此它具有社会公共属性,成为当代公共艺术中的一个特殊领域。
Art education of children can reflect a country’s cultural value orientation. During the Roosevelt New Deal in the 1930s, subsidized arts education for children was part of a public art project. Many artists were hired into the community to guide children’s drawings and indirectly raised public interest in the arts. This article explores the creative way and method of cultivating children with art education, analyzes the relationship between the art education of children as a public utility and the moral education of new citizens, and points out that the art education of children is in the whole society Therefore, it possesses social public attribute and becomes a special field in contemporary public art.
