543 alloy is developed by the author of cobalt-free nickel-based cast alloy. The high-temperature mechanical properties of the 543 alloy are comparable to those of the U500 alloy, which is widely used, as gas turbine blades. This article compares the hot corrosion behavior of cobalt-free 543 alloy with U500 alloy. The hot corrosion in mixed salt at 850 ° C was investigated using a salt shower and a single copper combustor. The weight loss, average penetration depth, and metal loss were measured. Oxides and sulfides produced during hot etching were investigated using light microscopy, electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy and x-ray diffraction. The results show that the corrosion resistance of 543 alloy is better than that of U500 alloy. Salt bath 200h, 543 and U500 alloy weight loss were 17.8 and 134.3mg / cm2. The average penetration depth of the alloy is only 1/4 U500 alloy. It is particularly obvious that the 543 alloy has very little metal loss. The test found that the two sulfide alloy sulphide sulfide composition varies. The 543 alloy generates Ti-rich sulfides, which are more stable during the oxidation process and can delay the sulfidation / oxidation process.
