8月24日,索尼发布了世界首款AVCHD格式的高清硬盘摄像机和世界首款AVCHD格式的高清DVD摄像机：HDR-SR1E和HDR-UX1E。AVCHD是全新高清记录格式,由索尼与松下联合开发的,它整合了MPEG-4 AVC/H．264视频编码和5．1声道杜比音效,能提供16：9宽屏幕、5．1声道音效和高达1080i分辨率的影像记录能力。AVCHD格式能够在包括DVD和硬盘的介质上录制和回放高清影像,并且能够快速随机访问数据内容,搜索方便。
August 24, Sony released the world’s first AVCHD format HD hard disk camera and the world’s first AVCHD format HD DVD camcorder: HDR-SR1E and HDR-UX1E. AVCHD is a new high-definition recording format, jointly developed by Sony and Panasonic, which integrates MPEG-4 AVC / H. 264 video encoding and 5.1-channel Dolby sound, providing 16: 9 widescreen, 5.1-channel audio and video recording up to 1080i resolution. The AVCHD format enables recording and playback of high-definition images on media including DVDs and hard disks, as well as quick random access to data content for easy searching.
