鸡球虫病是由艾美耳属的一种或几种球虫所引起的鸡原虫病.根据其寄生部位的不同,鸡艾美耳属的球虫在世界报道有15种,国内报道有9种.每年流行情况给我国养鸡业造成损失是无法估计的,美国因此病对养鸡业每年造成损失达3500万到2亿美元.
