Since the entry of China into the modern era, Christianity seems to usher in an unprecedented opportunity to spread in China as the strongholds of Western powers open the door to China and sign a series of unequal treaties. Later history, however, proved that not only Christianity failed to spread widely in late Qing China, but could not be accepted by the mainstream Chinese masses, teaching cases emerged one after another, and even led to the outbreak of the Boxer Rebellion, which triggered violent social unrest. Why did not the Western Christian Church forces, gunshots and legal preachers, successfully succeeded in Christianizing China? This article attempts to briefly analyze the issue from the perspective of Christianity in order to give the reader a new Inspired.
