Concrete creep and crack growth determines the long-term deformability of concrete, durability and service life. The mechanism of the interaction between these two forces has so far not been clear. The purpose of the study was to experimentally and mathematically clarify the macroscopic and intermediate levels of interaction between creep and crack formation in concrete; attempts were made to identify the main features that contribute to the elastic response of concrete at various times during concrete crack formation.
