为了提高原料蔗质量和种苗质量,我们在1985～1986年榨季第一小期和第二小期初(11月下旬至12月上旬),结合冬植窖种,狠抓了推广上部苗做种,大量收购无尾工业蔗(以整车计算,每吨加价2.5元),获得了增产增糖的效果。取样化验结果:无尾工业蔗(蔗尾砍去60～100厘米)含糖份比全茎苗提高1.2～1.35％(绝对值)。从11月15日至12月10日共收购无尾蔗6283吨,第一小期榨蔗量9581.2吨,其中无尾蔗4832吨,因无尾蔗多,甘蔗质量好,夹杂物少,第一小期累计夹杂物含量0.49％,比1984年下降30.8％。
