泰齐氏病（肋软骨炎）多发于青壮年。临床上表现为肋软骨处肿胀、疼痛、压痛，而皮肤无异常。局部疼痛可突然，也可逐渐发生，以刺痛或锐痛为主，且患侧上肢用力、举臂、深呼吸、剧咳或打喷嚏时疼痛加剧。多发生在上感、低烧成腹泻后。笔者近几年来运用云南白药外敷治疗本病１ Taizi’s disease (rib cartilage inflammation) occurs mostly in young adults.
