The essence of scientific research is to discover problems, analyze problems and solve problems. Sports medicine research work is often divided into two major categories of basic research and applied research. Fundamental research focuses more on the general rules of research, often on the mechanism and development of some phenomena. For example, the study of the pathogenesis of certain types of exercise diseases carries the nature of basic research. Applied research focuses on the specific laws of specific things to solve practical problems in the specific work. Since sports medicine itself belongs to applied science, there are more researches in applied research.
