Many times the history of architecture is a reorganization of many utopian project fragments, and “making the world a better place” is a naive and persistent desire for these projects. However, architects often forget that these innumerable material gestures are carried out in the context of daily life that is chaotic, uncontrollable, and “non-theorized.” To wrap the universal creed into reality, just like any crusade, has the courage to win. The quest for a perfect “modernity” has affected the history of Asian cities in the 20th century. While the North American cities that emerged in the era of modernism have begun to decline, the Chinese cities are scrambling to build higher, faster,
