A recently published international journal, Occupational and Environmental Health, reports that FASE’s analysis of U.S. customs records shows that during 1997-2000, U.S. Customs exported nearly 3.2 billion pounds of pesticide products at an average rate of almost 2.2 million pounds per day or 45 tons per hour, an increase of 15 per cent over the export record of 936 tons per day during 1992-1996.
